Replace those outrageously priced $7 lattes (which we all know are, honestly, mostly ice) with this delicious, simple, super quick iced espresso with cold foam. This recipe uses simple ingredients and whips up in just a few minutes, while tasting twice as good as coffee shops. (This post contains affiliate links)

I love, love, love coffee, and I drink this exact recipe every single day. It's under 100 calories, easy to make, and absolutely satisfies the aesthetic coffee craving.
Ingredients
Iced Coffee
2 shots of espresso (or strong instant coffee)
1½ tablespoons sweetener (stevia, honey, or maple syrup)
1½ cups ice
½ cup unsweetened almond milk or protein shake
Cold Foam
1–2 tablespoons heavy cream
½ tablespoon sweetener (I use this one)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Start by brewing your espresso directly over the sweetener. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
Fill a glass with ice, then pour the hot espresso over the ice. Let it sit for a few seconds and gently swirl to cool it down.
Add the almond milk and let it slowly combine with the espresso, giving that beautiful milky swirl.
Make the Cold Foam
In a small cup, combine the heavy cream, sweetener, extract, and a pinch of salt.
Use a handheld frother (I use this one) to whip the mixture until it becomes slightly thick and airy. It should still be pourable, not stiff.
Pour the cold foam over your iced coffee and serve immediately.
Tips for Best Results
Use strong espresso for better flavor balance
Adjust the sweetness to taste, depending on your sweetener
Don’t over-froth—the foam should be soft and creamy
Easy Variations
You can customize this depending on your preferences:
Swap almond milk for oat milk or regular milk
Sub a vanilla protein shake instead of almond milk
Use sugar-free syrups for different flavors
Add cinnamon or cocoa powder on top
Helpful Tools
These are simple additions that make this recipe easier and more consistent:
Milk frother (I use this frother for smooth, café-style foam)
Glass coffee tumblers (for aesthetic serving)
Espresso maker (I love my CasaBrews Espresso Machine! It's incredibly easy to use and to clean, and it makes a perfectly balanced espresso every time) or instant espresso packets
Reusable straws (I always like to have extra on hand if I drink my coffee at home)
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Super easy to make at home and faster than the drive-thru
Customizable sweetness and flavor
Much more calorie-conscious than traditional coffee shop drinks
Saves so much $$$
Final Thoughts
This is one of those recipes that becomes part of your routine. It’s simple, consistent, and easy to adjust based on what you like. Once you make it a few times, you won’t need to measure—you can follow your heart.
